EVIDENCE FROM BUDDHIST SCRIPTURES THAT JESUS (AS) TRAVELED TO KASHMIR.

I have discovered various kinds of evidence from Buddhist scriptures, the collective appraisal of which definitely and conclusively establishes that Jesus(as) travelled to areas like the Punjab and Kashmir. These are as follows…

First the titles bestowed on the Buddha(as) bear a strong resemblance to the titles given to Jesus(as), and some events in the Buddha’s life closely resemble the events in the life of Jesus(as). Here I mean the Buddhism which prevails in areas around Tibet, like Leh, Lhasa, Gilgit and Hims, which are proved to have been visited by Jesus(as). As regards titles, Jesus(as) in his teachings called himself ‘the Light’, similarly Gautama was called Buddha, which in Sanskrit means ‘Light’. Jesus(as) is also called ‘Teacher’ in the Gospels, similarly the Buddha(as) is called Sasta, which means ‘Teacher’. Jesus(as) is called ‘Blessed’ in the Gospels, and in the same way one of the names of Buddha(as) is Sagpat, which means ‘Blessed’. Jesus(as) is called ‘…

We find in many books written by the Non-Ahmadi scholars that the meaning of twaffi is death, and Allama Mahmood Shaltut also said that the meaning of the word is death when its used to Isa(as)..

How Did the Belief in the Resurrection Originate?

By T. Ijaz Sahib
It is the Ahmadiyya view that Jesus did not die on the cross but was saved, a view that can be substantiated by the Gospels themselves. Based on a purely rational basis, if one is presented with a story that someone was nailed on the cross, and days later that same wounded person is sighted with evidence of an empty tomb, the natural conclusion is that person did not die in the first place.Interestingly as seen in section of Sign of Jonah where an analogy is made to being saved from the clutches of death, the earliest disciples referred to the Psalms of David 16:8-11 as a sign of their faith as attested to in Acts 2:25-8. Here again, the Psalms are proclaiming the motif of being saved from untimely death, and continued lease on life – a deliverance from death not out of death. The well known Interpreter’s One Volume Commentary on the Bible (1971 Ed page 266) states regarding Psalms 16:

He was near death and Lord rescued him... No doctrine of resurrection is involved.…

DID JESUS DIE ON THE CROSS ???

" There is not to be found in all the Gospels a Single recorded statement of an Eyewitness to the effect that Jesus was dead when he was taken down from the cross or when he was placed in the Tomb.
Moreover, none of the disciples was present at the scene of Crucifixion, all having fled when Jesus was taken to Calvary. The fact of the case seems to be that, presumably due to the dream of his wife
"to have nothing to do with that just man," Pilate had believed Jesus to be innocent and had, therefore, conspired with Joseph of Arimaethia, a respected member of the Essene Order to which Jesus himself
belonged before he was commissioned as a Prophet, to save his life. The trial of Jesus took place on Friday, Pilate having purposely prolonged it, knowing that the next day being the Sabbath Day, the
condemned persons could not be left on the Cross after sunset. When at last he found himself compelled to condemn Jesus, Pilate gave his judgment only three hours before Sunset, thu…

Holy Bible on the Mission of JESUS

Subject of the Second Coming of Jesus is so important not only to the Christians but for the Muslims as well. For the benefit of the readers, as a Muslim, I need to expose some truths from the vary sayings of the Holy Bible so that they should know what really happened. It is evident from the Holy Bible that the moving prayers of Jesus on the night before the day of crucifixion
(Matt 26:39; Luke 22:42; Mark 14:36; Matt 27:46) had been the main source for his escape from the accursed death on the cross. For it is utterly unbelievable hat such earnest prayers from no less a personage than Jesus Christ should go unanswered. It is also evident from the Bible that Jesus did not die on the cross, but was taken down in a state of unconsciousness and had lived afterward to complete his mission eventually to die a natural death. After his escape from the death on the cross, he was in his body of clay (John 20:15; Luke 24:39-43) and it is incorrect to say that a vapor cloud lifted him up to he…

The Crucifixion

BELIEF: The Crucifixion

When we read bible, we find many signs in it that prove that Jesus (as) did not die on the cross, but was saved from that ordeal with the help of Allah.  “Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.” Jesus answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” (The Holy Bible, Matthew Chapter 12)Christians attribute many types of signs for Jesus (as). For example they say Jesus (as) gave life to the dead persons, cured many disease of peoples, walked on water etc. However when a group of his opponents came towards his for witnessing any sign and stated their objective in a very polite way Jesus (as) told them that those wicked and adulterous people, who were demanding a sing fro…

Did Jesus have a wife?

This is an interesting question that must stir up a lot of discussions. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has always held the view that Jesus was a human being, a prophet of God and as such he married as guide and model for others. by H. Koya  Historian says piece of papyrus refers to Jesus’ wife Discovery likely to reignite debate over Mary Magdalene and women’s role in Christianity

A historian of early Christianity at Harvard Divinity School has identified a papyrus fragment in Coptic that she says contains the first known statement saying explicitly that Jesus was married. The fragment also refers to a female disciple. AN UNWILLING SACRIFICE ? - Prayers at the garden of Gethsemane

When it appeared that there was no way to avoid the devious plans of the Jews to have him crucified, Jesus prayed fervently 'to remove the cup' of death upon the cross (Mark 14:36).

Jesus had full confidence that his prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane would be accepted as he himself told his disciples:

"If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer" (Matthew 21:22).
"Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks. You parents- if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Of if they ask for fish, do you give them a snake?" (Matthew 7:7-9)
God Accepted His Prayer
The prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane was the most important and grand prayer offered by Jesus and portrayed quite vividly in the Gospels. It is inconceiva…

IN SEARCH OF LOST SHEEP OF JESUS - Beyond Euphrates

Traditional Jewish history and Biblical texts divided this Semitic people into twelve tribes. In the time of Jesus, only two of the tribes were in the region Jesus preached, whereas the whereabouts of the remaining ten has always been a bit of a mystery.

The second century historian Josephus wrote in his book Antiquities of the Jews that the ten tribes were 'beyond Euphrates' in his time, east of present day Iraq and in the Persian empire of the time which extended into India.

It is also notable that early Church history documents the existence of a Gospel in the Hebrew language found in India, which also confirms Israelites in India. St Jerome (c 400 A.D) wrote that the scholar Pantaenus in the second century came across the document in his travels. St Jerome further wrote that the Israelites in his time continue to live in the Persian empire.

The mission of Jesus was to reach out to the Lost Tribes (or 'Sheep') of Israel, as stated in Matthew 15:24. It was thus impera…

Nor did they kill him upon the ross

“The Qur'an (says), they slew him (Jesus) not, nor did they kill him upon the cross.

1. That Jesus did not die on the cross but died a natural death is clear from the Bible itself. The following facts, as narrated in the Gospels which support the Quranic version:-

2. Being a Divine Prophet Jesus could not have died on the cross because according to the Bible "he that is hanged is accursed of God
" (Deut. 21:23).

3. He had prayed to God in great agony to "take away this cup (of death on the cross) from me" (Mark, 14:36; Matt. 26:29; Luke, 22:42); and his prayer was heard (Heb. 5:7).

4. He had predicted that like Jonah who had gone into the belly of the whale alive and had come out of it alive (Matt. 12:40) he would remain in an excavated sepulcher for three days and would come out of it alive.

5. He had also prophesied that he would go to seek out the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel (John, 10:16). Even Jews in Jesus' time believed that the Lost Tribes of Israel had beco…

OINTMENT OF JESUS (Aloe and Myrrh)

After the crucifixion, the body of Jesus came into the hands of his disciples Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus

The Gospel of John records that Nicodemus brought myrrh and aloes 'about a seventy-five pounds in weight' (John 19:39). These plants, particularly aloe plants, are considered medicinal and applied to wounds. It was used extensively in many ancient cultures is used even today to soothe open wounds. The Roman physician Pedanius Dioscrorides (c 75 B.C) recommended aloe for wounds and skin conditions. Alexander the Great's mentor, Aristotle, persuaded him to capture the island of Socotra to harvest the aloe plants for treating wounded soldiers.

Interestingly, the medieval near eastern classic textbook of medicine entitled Canon of Medicine by Avicenna mentioned an ointment termed Marhami Isa (Ointment of Jesus).

NO ONE WILL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN!

" Remember, no one will descend from heaven. All our opponents who are living at present will die and not one of them will see Jesus, son of Mary, descend from the sky and then their children who survive them will also pass away and none of them will see Jesus, son of Mary, coming down from the heaven. Generations of their posterity will also perish and they too will not see the son of Mary descending from heaven. Then God will create restlessness in their hearts; that the day of the glory of the Cross had passed away and the world had taken another turn but Jesus, son of Mary, had still not come down from the sky. Then all the wise people will discard this belief and the third century from today will not have completed when all those who had been waiting for Jesus, both Muslims and Christians will despair of his coming and entertaining misgivings shall give up their belief and there will be only one Faith in the world and one preceptor. Natural Death of Hadhrat Jesus a.s, Son of Mary

NATURAL DEATH OF HADHRAT JESUSAS, SON OF MARY The greatest hurdle for the non-Ahmadi Muslims in accepting Hazrat Mirza Ghulam AhmadAS, the Founder of Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam, as the Promised Messiah and Mahdi is their belief regarding Hazrat Eisa (peace be on him); that as soon as the Jews resolved to lay hold on him, God raised Hazrat EisaAS to Heaven, and in place of him, caught hold of one of his enemies and, making him in the same appearance as Hazrat EisaAS, had this enemy of JesusAS put on the Cross instead of JesusAS himself. They further believe that he is still in Heaven since his ascent, without undergoing any change, and this very Hazrat EisaAS will descend for the reformation of the Muslims, and to make Islam dominate over all other religions. This concept of the non-Ahmadies is entirely against the Holy Quran, the Traditions of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of God be on him) and the consensus of the early scholars of Islam, as shall be explained …

Will Jesus Return? For What?

by Dr. Aslam Abdullah There is a statement attributed to Prophet Muhammad by Jabir ibn 'Abdullah: "He who denies the appearance of the Mahdi is inevitably blaspheming against what was revealed to the Prophet. He who denies the appearance of Jesus, the son of Mary, has become an unbeliever. Someone who denies that the Antichrist will appear is also inevitably an unbeliever." This statement is also reported in Muhammad Parisa's Fusul-i Sitta, Ibn Ishaq's Kitab al-Ta`aruf li Madhhab Ahl al-Tasawwuf, Imam Suhayli's al-Rawd al-Unuf, and Imam Suyuti's Alamat al-Mahdi.  Based on these reports, the website http://al-shia.org/html/eng/history/others/01/11.htm  concludes: “Given this, Islamic scholars regard belief in Jesus' second coming and his causing true religious moral values to prevail as major articles of faith.” There are many other scholars from Sunni, shias, Zaydis, Ibadi sects who consider the idea of second coming of Jesus as part of Iman.   The Quran…

A belief that Jesus survived the crucifixion and spent his remaining years in Kashmir has led to a run-down shrine in Srinagar

A belief that Jesus survived the crucifixion and spent his remaining years in Kashmir has led to a run-down shrine in Srinagar making it firmly onto the must-visit-in India tourist trail.

In the backstreets of downtown Srinagar is an old building known as the Rozabal shrine. It's in a part of the city where the Indian security forces are on regular patrol, or peering out from behind check-posts made of sandbags. There are still occasional clashes with militants or stone-throwing children, but the security situation has improved in recent times and the tourists are returning. When I first searched for Rozabal two years ago, the taxi circled around a minor Muslim tomb in a city of many mosques and mausoleums, the driver asking directions several times before we found it. The shrine, on a street corner, is a modest stone building with a traditional Kashmiri multi-tiered sloping roof. A watchman led me in and encouraged me to inspect the smaller wooden chamber within, with its trellis…

Holy Quran about Jesus a.s

First Point: The on us lies on those who believe that Jesus (as) is still alive to provide sufficient evidence. The reason is that anything that is out of ordinary or normal routine has to be proven, otherwise normal course of action is automatically justified. On the outset I should say that there is not a single verse in the Holy Quran where it is written that Jesus (as) is alive. There is not a single verse in the Holy Quran where it is written that Jesus Christ went up to some skies. The only verse quoted is ofRafa’, which only means exaltation of status and not a physical ascension. So in fact there is no basis from the Holy Quran for the belief that old Jesus Christ went up to some skies. There is no mention of any sky or any physical ascension. And not even in any sahih hadith there is any physical ascension of Jesus (as) mentioned. Not even a single sahih hadith. Here I quote 15 verses of the Holy Quran on this topic: VERSE NUMBER 1 “Jesus said, I am a servant of Allah. He has …

First excerpt from Chapter 1 of the book "Jesus In India"

Written by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani - The Promised Messiah:
Let it be noted that though Christians believe that Jesus (peace be on him) after his arrest through the betrayal by Judas Iscariot, and crucifixion -- and resurrection -- went to heaven, yet, from the Holy Bible, it appears that this belief of theirs is altogether wrong. Matthew (chapter 12, verse 40) says that just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the fish, so the Son of Man shall be three days and three nights in the bowels of the earth. Now it is clear that Jonah did not die in the belly of the fish; the utmost that happened was that he was in a swoon or a fit of fainting. The holy books of God bear witness that Jonah, by the grace of God,

The Ointment of Jesus says much about Jesus’ new life after Crucifixion

The Ointment of Jesus says much about Jesus’ new life after CrucifixionByflibbertigibbet

The ‘Ointment of Jesus’, the balm to cure Jesus’ injuries after he was taken down from the cross is found mentioned in more than a thousand books of medicine. What is more, these books also mention that the ointment was prepared for none other than Jesus Christ. Some of these books were written by the Jews, some by the Christians and some by the Zoroastrians. Hence, the scholarly investigations clearly prove that Jesus escaped death on the cross. If the evangelists set down something contrary to this, their testimony is not to be trusted at all; because, firstly, they were not personally present when the Crucifixion took place. In fact, they had all fled the scene betraying utter lack of faithfulness to Jesus. Secondly, the Gospels themselves are replete with contradictions, so much so that the Gospel of Barnabas

If Jesus did not die upon the cross: A study in evidence

The Last Supper This is a small booklet with a very descriptive title, written by an Australian Judge, Ernest Brougham Docker, in 1920. He became a judge of the District Court and chairman of Quarter Sessions for the north-western district in 1881. He retired in 1918 after the passage of the Judges Retirement Act.
He examines the limitations in the so called testimony of the apostles about resurrection in his book. He makes several strong points against resurrection of Jesus, may peace be on him, but one that can be described in a few lines is quoted here:
“He (Jesus) expressed his forebodings to His disciples, I firmly believe; I am equally convinced that He did not predict His rising again. The Conduct of the disciples after crucifixion shows that they had no expectation of a resurrection; and it is altogether incredible that they could have forgotten a prediction so remarkable.”
There are 14 parts of this short booklet by Ernest Brougham Docker, published in 1920. The fifth part concl…
