Did Jesus have a wife?

This is an interesting question that must stir up a lot of discussions. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has always held the view that Jesus was a human being, a prophet of God and as such he married as guide and model for others. by H. Koya  Historian says piece of papyrus refers to Jesus’ wife Discovery likely to reignite debate over Mary Magdalene and women’s role in Christianity A historian of early Christianity at Harvard Divinity School has identified a papyrus fragment in Coptic that she says contains the first known statement saying explicitly that Jesus was married. The fragment also refers to a female disciple. AN UNWILLING SACRIFICE ? - Prayers at the garden of Gethsemane

When it appeared that there was no way to avoid the devious plans of the Jews to have him crucified, Jesus prayed fervently 'to remove the cup' of death upon the cross (Mark 14:36). Jesus had full confidence that his prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane would be accepted as he himself told his disciples: "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer" (Matthew 21:22). "Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks. You parents- if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Of if they ask for fish, do you give them a snake?" (Matthew 7:7-9) God Accepted His Prayer The prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane was the most important and grand prayer offered by Jesus and portrayed quite vividly in the Gospels. It is

IN SEARCH OF LOST SHEEP OF JESUS - Beyond Euphrates

Traditional Jewish history and Biblical texts divided this Semitic people into twelve tribes. In the time of Jesus, only two of the tribes were in the region Jesus preached, whereas the whereabouts of the remaining ten has always been a bit of a mystery. The second century historian Josephus wrote in his book Antiquities of the Jews that the ten tribes were 'beyond Euphrates' in his time, east of present day Iraq and in the Persian empire of the time which extended into India. It is also notable that early Church history documents the existence of a Gospel in the Hebrew language found in India, which also confirms Israelites in India. St Jerome (c 400 A.D) wrote that the scholar Pantaenus in the second century came across the document in his travels. St Jerome further wrote that the Israelites in his time continue to live in the Persian empire. The mission of Jesus was to reach out to the Lost Tribes (or 'Sheep') of Israel, as stated in Matthew 15:24. It was t

Nor did they kill him upon the ross

“The Qur'an (says), they slew him (Jesus) not, nor did they kill him upon the cross. 1. That Jesus did not die on the cross but died a natural death is clear from the Bible itself. The following facts, as narrated in the Gospels which support the Quranic version:- 2. Being a Divine Prophet Jesus could not have died on the cross because according to the Bible "he that is hanged is accursed of God " (Deut. 21:23). 3. He had prayed to God in great agony to "take away this cup (of death on the cross) from me" (Mark, 14:36; Matt. 26:29; Luke, 22:42); and his prayer was heard (Heb. 5:7). 4. He had predicted that like Jonah who had gone into the belly of the whale alive and had come out of it alive (Matt. 12:40) he would remain in an excavated sepulcher for three days and would come out of it alive. 5. He had also prophesied that he would go to seek out the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel (John, 10:16). Even Jews in Jesus' time believed that the Lost Tribes

OINTMENT OF JESUS (Aloe and Myrrh)

After the crucifixion, the body of Jesus came into the hands of his disciples Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus The Gospel of John records that Nicodemus brought myrrh and aloes 'about a seventy-five pounds in weight' (John 19:39). These plants, particularly aloe plants, are considered medicinal and applied to wounds. It was used extensively in many ancient cultures is used even today to soothe open wounds. The Roman physician Pedanius Dioscrorides (c 75 B.C) recommended aloe for wounds and skin conditions. Alexander the Great's mentor, Aristotle, persuaded him to capture the island of Socotra to harvest the aloe plants for treating wounded soldiers. Interestingly, the medieval near eastern classic textbook of medicine entitled Canon of Medicine by Avicenna mentioned an ointment termed Marhami Isa (Ointment of Jesus). NO ONE WILL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN!

" Remember, no one will descend from heaven. All our opponents who are living at present will die and not one of them will see Jesus, son of Mary, descend from the sky and then their children who survive them will also pass away and none of them will see Jesus, son of Mary, coming down from the heaven. Generations of their posterity will also perish and they too will not see the son of Mary descending from heaven. Then God will create restlessness in their hearts; that the day of the glory of the Cross had passed away and the world had taken another turn but Jesus, son of Mary, had still not come down from the sky. Then all the wise people will discard this belief and the third century from today will not have completed when all those who had been waiting for Jesus, both Muslims and Christians will despair of his coming and entertaining misgivings shall give up their belief and there will be only one Faith in the world and one preceptor. I came only to sow the seed. That

Natural Death of Hadhrat Jesus a.s, Son of Mary

NATURAL DEATH OF HADHRAT JESUS AS , SON OF MARY The greatest hurdle for the non-Ahmadi Muslims in accepting Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad AS , the Founder of Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam, as the Promised Messiah and Mahdi is their belief regarding Hazrat Eisa (peace be on him); that as soon as the Jews resolved to lay hold on him, God raised Hazrat Eisa AS to Heaven, and in place of him, caught hold of one of his enemies and, making him in the same appearance as Hazrat Eisa AS , had this enemy of Jesus AS put on the Cross instead of Jesus AS himself. They further believe that he is still in Heaven since his ascent, without undergoing any change, and this very Hazrat Eisa AS will descend for the reformation of the Muslims, and to make Islam dominate over all other religions. This concept of the non-Ahmadies is entirely against the Holy Quran, the Traditions of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of God be on him) and the consensus of the early scholar
